Websites I recommend

First and foremost, in embarking towards a career or hobby in investments, news and research sources present simple, straightforward real world circumstances to gain exposure. Many of these sites include education sources.

1. www.barrons.com
2. www. economist.com
3. www.marketwatch.com
4. www.bloomberg.com
5. www.reuters.com
6. www.zach.com
7. finance.yahoo.com
8. finance.google.com
9. www.investorwords.com (dictionary of terminology)
10. www.cnbc.com
11. www.topix.com (this website searches all news and blogs- it can provide you links to news sources not yet linked to the financial websites)
12. news.speeple.com (same as topix)
13. www.newsvine.com

How to use these sites will be the topic of a future post. In many cases, these sites provide links to primary sources. I will note careful investigation of the news searchsites can tap you into a body of knowledge which will prove advantageous in financial analysis and projection.

As I transition

As I transition to a future career in equity research and beyond, I realize how in many ways the journey I am embarking upon is one full of ambiguity. I hope to liken my future posts to breadcrumbs I leave for myself and others (who may or may not read this blog). The ultimate goal is a superior understanding of how our markets and our world work together.

I approach this objective as one with an undergraduate B.S in Political Science and a current J.D./MBA in my third year of four years.
